Nursing Care
A cada paciente de Wings Over Texas Hospice se le asigna un enfermero/a gestor/a de casos, quien suele visitarlos de una a tres veces por semana. Además, nuestros pacientes de hospicio y sus cuidadores tienen acceso a una enfermera de guardia las 24 horas del día.

Hospice Aide Care
Nuestros dedicados auxiliares de cuidados paliativos siguen el plan de atención personalizado de cada paciente con compasión y comprensión. Brindan atención amable y atenta a cada paciente de Wings Over Texas Hospice. Pain and Symptom Management

Medication, Medical Equipment, & Supplies. Delivered to your door

Social Services

Spiritual Care Services

Bereavement Care Services
Nuestro compasivo Coordinador de Duelo se acerca a la familia del paciente desde el inicio de su proceso de cuidados paliativos para ofrecerle apoyo emocional y orientación durante este momento difícil. Como miembro integral del equipo de cuidados paliativos, se dedica a brindar atención y asistencia continuas a la familia incluso después del fallecimiento del paciente.

Hospice Care Education and Family Support

Understanding the 4 Levels of Hospice Care
Routine Home Care
Care provided at home by the family or other caregiver, assisted by the hospice staff. This is the most common level of hospice care. With this type of care, an individual has elected to receive hospice care at their residence, which can include a private residence, assisted living facility or nursing facility
Respite
Care
Short-term care available to provide temporary relief to the patient’s primary caregiver. Respite care can be provided in a Medicare approved facility which is a hospital, hospice facility, or a long term care facility that has sufficient nursing personnel present twenty-four hours on all shifts to guarantee that patient’s needs are met. Respite care is provided for a maximum of 5 consecutive days. Care and services are established through a contractual agreement
Continuous Home Care
Care is provided between 8 and 24 hours a day to manage pain and other acute medical symptoms. The care provided must be predominately nursing care, supplemented with caregiver and hospice aide services. This level of care is intended to maintain the terminally ill patient at home during a pain or symptom crisis. Medicare reimburses this at an hourly rate
General Inpatient Care
Short-term care provided for pain control or other acute symptom management that cannot feasibly be provided in any other setting. Inpatient Care begins when other efforts to manage symptoms have been ineffective. Inpatient Care can be provided in a Medicare certified hospital, hospice inpatient facility, or nursing facility that has a RN available twenty-four hours a day to provide direct patient care.
More Support when it Matters Most
When a loved one enters their final days, families need more support—not less.
At Wings Over Texas Hospice, we increase medical and emotional support visits as needed to help provide comfort, answer questions, and support the patient and those who love them.
Our care doesn't end when a loved one passes. Bereavement support remains available to help family members and loved ones navigate the days and months that follow.
