Our hospice families need to know that someone is there when questions arise, symptoms change, or support is needed after hours.

That's where our On-Call RNs make a difference.

You'll provide skilled nursing support, clinical guidance, and reassurance to patients and families while working closely with the Wings Over Texas Hospice team.

What You'll Do

​

  • Respond to after-hours patient and family needs

  • Assess changes in patient condition

  • Provide skilled nursing interventions within the plan of care

  • Communicate with physicians and the hospice team

  • Help manage pain and symptoms

  • Provide education and reassurance to caregivers

  • Coordinate additional services when necessary

  • Complete timely clinical documentation

  • Support patients in their place of residence

  • Coordinate services and supplies

  • Monitor changes in patient condition

  • Provide emotional support and reassurance

  • Document care accurately and timely

  • Advocate for patients and families

 RN case managers are the clinicians assigned to patients M-F.

You will be part of the 24-hour on-call nursing support available to patients and caregivers.

What We're Looking For

  • Kind Heart

  • Current Texas RN license

  • Strong clinical judgment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Hospice experience preferred

  • Ability to respond calmly in changing situations

  • Compassionate bedside manner

  • Dependability

  • Ability to work independently
