Certified Hospice Aide CNA

At Wings Over Texas Hospice, our Hospice Aides play an important role in helping patients remain comfortable, safe, and cared for in the place they call home.

As a Hospice Aide on our Hico team, you'll work alongside the RN Case Manager and our Central Texas hospice team to regularly provide kindhearted personal care and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities May Include:

​

​​

  • Assisting patients with personal care and hygiene

  • Bathing and grooming

  • Assisting with ambulation and transfers

  • Dressing

  • Assistance with elimination

  • Linen changes

  • Light meal preparation for the patient

  • Delivering supplies 

  • Observing and reporting changes in the patient's condition

  • Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment

  • Supporting patient dignity, privacy and independence

What We're Looking For

  • Kind Heart

  • Current CNA certification

  • Ability to work in patients' homes

  • Reliable transportation

  • Current driver's license

  • Current auto liability insurance

  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and the hospice team

  • Compassion for patients and families

  • Dependability and professionalism

  • Ability to work independently while remaining connected to the care team
